Graduated from Nava War College, 1938.

Career

Colonel Harold Jones Mitchener, United States.M.C. Retired), Laura Therese Christian. Commanded ensign, United States Navy, 1912, advancing through the grades to rear admiral, 1942. Retired with rank of vice admiral, 1946.

Sea duty, chiefly in Pacific area, includes service on all types of naval ships except submarines and carriers, totals 22 years. Shore duty includes service in Navy yards, Navy Department, Naval Academy, Naval War College, Naval Operating Base (Guantanamo, Cuba), and as naval attache, Peru and Ecuador.
