Bachelor of Philisophy, University of Iowa, 1902. Bachelor of Science, United States Military Academy, 1904. Graduated from Army War College, 1924.

Career

Second lieutenant, United States Army, 1904, and advanced through grades to brigadier general, 1940. Commanded 12th Field Artillery Brigade, World War I. Commandant Field Artillery School, Fort Sill, Oklahoma, until retirement, 1942.

Later superintendent Sewanee (Tennessee) Military Academy.
