Parkin, George Raleigh was born on February 25, 1896 in Toronto, Canada. Son of Sir George Robert and Annie Connell (Fisher) Parkin.

Supervisor British and foreign investments, 1945-1977, assistant treasurer, 1945-1958, associate treasurer, 1958-1961. Coordinator development and extension Arctic Institute of North America, 1961-1977.
