George Richard Breese, American Neuropharmacologist. Achievements include development of 6-OHDA as a central neurotoxin; discovered D1-dopamine receptor sensitization; research on the analeptic and behavioral effects of TRH, and on the molecular basics of ethanol action on GABA; discovery of specificity of action of ethanol on ligand-gated ion challen receptor subtypes.
