Bar, 1832; ordered to New Echota, Georgia, as aide-de-camp to General John East. Wool in forcible removal of Cherokees to Indian Territory, 1835. Justice Arkansas Supreme Court, 1842-1843. Assisted in adoption of treaty of amnesty with Cherokees, 1846.
