Father of George Griswold H. After leaving college was employed in Bank of Montreal, and later on staff of Montreal Herald. In service of Continental Insurance Company of New York (located at Chicago), 1870-1879. Established Farmers’ Review, Chicago, 1879.
Removed to Saint Paul, Minnesota, 1886, and managed and edited The Farmer until 1888.
