Career
She was the first woman of her line to be allowed to sit in the House of Lords after the Peerage Acting 1963. She gained a National Diploma in Dairying. The 27th Baroness was the daughter of Lieutenant-Commander The Honorary
Peter Ross, Registered Nurse, who himself was the eldest son of the 26th Baroness.
Georgiana married Commander John David Maxwell of the Royal Navy on 24 July 1954 and they had two children:
The Honourable Diana Elizabeth Maxwell (born 6 June 1957), married firstly on 29 November 1976 to Jonathan Watkins, without issue, secondly in 1978 to Don Richard Bell, without issue, and thirdly in 1987 to Eric Ford, and had:
Nisha Altalia Maxwell Ford (born 1988)
Peter Maxwell, 28th Baron de Ros (born 1958), who is the current holder of the title.
