Educated at the Kiev Military School, 1910.
Took part in World War I as a Ltcolonel. In 1917 Menshevik, later joined the Bolsheviks. Red commander during the Civil War.
He defeated the White Cossacks under Nazarov, sent by Wrangel to the Northern Caucasus, 1920. In the early 1920s commanded detachments used for the confiscation of valuables belonging previously to the Crown, church or private persons. High military posts in the early 1930s.
Arrested during Stalin’s purge of the Red Army. Disappeared, probably shot.
