From 1922 Communist Youth League and Party propaganda work. 1935-1939 at Belorussian Academy of Sciences, lecturer, then professor, Belorussian State University. 1939-1946 professor at Party High School, Central Committee, All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks).
1946-1955 department head, Academy of Social Sciences, Central Committee, Communist Party of the Soviet Union. 1947-1954 simultaneously director, Institute of Philosophy, Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics Academy of Sciences. Also (1953-1954) acad secretary.

From 1955 senior researcher, Institute of Philosophy, Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics Academy of Sciences. Author of over 200 works on dialectical and historical materialism, history of philosophy and sociological theory, 1947 drew Party criticism for ’’deviation from the principle of Party primacy in philosophy” in his book Istoriya zapadnoyevropeyskoy filosofii ¡A History of West European Philosophy).
