URAZOV, Georgiy was born on January 18, 1884.
1909 graduate Saint St. Petersburg Polytech Institute.
1909-1921 lecturer, from 1921 professor, Saint St. Petersburg Polytech Institute. From 1934 department head, Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry. Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics Academy of Sciences.
From 1938 also professor, Moscow Institute of Fine Chemical Technology 1939-1946 conresp member, Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics Academy of Sciences. From 1943 also professor, Moscow Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals and Gold.
Did research on metallic alloys, metal systems, sulfides and chlorides, metallic ores and ore refining, hydrated salt balance and natural salts. Compiled diagrams showing the state of numerous metallic systems and discovered a number of new intermetallic compounds. 1911 discovered solid-state conversions in a magnesium-cadmium system.
1914, together with North.S. Kurnakov, discovered Bcrthollide phase in an iron-silicon system. 1919 discovered AlSb compound in aluminum-antimony system. Studied properties of triple alloys of aluminum: aluminium-silicon-copper (1929).
Aluminum-silicon-magnesium (1936). Aluminum-magnesiumcoppcr (1946), et cetera This provided the sci base for selecting the materials and conditions for the heat working of light, high-tensile alloys.
1915 began extensive research into metals’ interaction with sulfur and metal sulfides and chlorides. Also studied chemical equilibrium in chloride and sulfide systems This provided the theoretical base for such complex non-ferrous metallurgical processes as precipitation alloying, chlorination, et cetera
Studied chemical composition and physicochemical nature of Tikhva bauxites (1920-1924). 1928 devised original methods for processing them into pure alumina. Did research on technol for processing natural salts in Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics.
Invented a method for extracting iodine from raw materials available in Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics. 1930 advanced physicochemical hypothesis for genesis of Solikamsk potassium salt deposits. From 1934 organized expeditions to study the salt deposits of the Caspian and the Kara-Bogaz-Gol Gui.
There is no solid or tangible evidence for God nor a logical argument for God. The existence of God is taken on faith and not by evidence.
Marxism–Leninism as the only truth could not, by its very nature, become outdated.
Member, Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics Academy of Sciences from 1946.
