Georgiy Vainer graduated from the Moscow Correspondence Juridical Institute (1960).
Georgiy Alexandrovich Vainer Worked as an engineer, journalist of TASS. In 1990, he went to the United States, worked as a journalist. In 1992-2001 Georgiy was the editor-in-chief of the newspaper ''Novoye Russkoe Slovo''. In the late 1980s, he headed the Moscow branch of the editorial office, which was located in his apartment, but did not last long; then, finally moving to New York for permanent residence, worked mainly in New York. Was a member of the editorial board of the Russian-language newspaper "Russian Bazaar."
During last years he lived in New York, where he died on June 11, 2009, after a serious and prolonged illness.
Georgy Viner was married to Alexandra and they had three children: Stanislav and Anna, who live in the USA, Constantine (Yuda) moved to Israel.
