Georgy graduated from the Leningrad Music Technical School in the class of trumpet in 1933.
Together with the family Georgy was deported from Leningrad to Voronezh (1935). Then he created a jazz orchestra in the park named after Kaganovich (now - the Central City Park of Culture and Recreation). He played in the orchestra of the Young Theater. At the same time he directed the jazz music orchestra of the Palace of Pioneers and Schoolchildren, brass and jazz orchestras of the Voronezh Engineering and Construction Institute.
After the war he headed brass bands of factories: the name of the Comintern, heavy mechanical presses ‘Vtorchermet’. In 1962-1976 he directed the brass band of boarding school No. 7.
He also was a prize-winner of numerous musical competitions, the orchestra performed in the All-Union pioneer camp "Artek" and took part in the filming of the movie "Whistle all up!".
