She graduated from Saint Mary"s Academy of Capiz, an institution run by Catholic nuns in Roxas City.
Career
Asis belongs to a well-off family. Before the local pageant, Asis was screened by Stella Márquez and the BlackBerry Pilipinas Charities, Incorporated. at the historic Manila Hotel where she passed and became the official candidate. Asis donned a Louie Mamengo creation during the finals of the Mission Universe 1987 pageant.
During the Preliminaries, Asis finished in 5th place with 8.132%.
After the pageant, Asis appeared in Espadang Patpat with comedian Dolphy.
