He was originally signed by the San Diego Chargers as an undrafted free agent in 2007. He played college football at Pittsburg State. Race also played professionally in Austrian Football League in 2010.
In football, he was a two-year starter.
As a senior, Race rushed for 2,069 yards and 29 touchdowns and was a first team Missouri Class 4A All-State selection. As a junior, Race rushed for 1,785 yards and 19 touchdowns.
Race was released by the Chargers on 6/20/08. Race played 2010 for the Saint Pölten Generali Invaders in Austria, where he was the topscorer of the 2010 Austrian Football League.
He was also named the 2010 Austrian Football League.
