Career
Born in San Fernando, Cádiz, Andalusia, Germán made his senior debuts with UD San Fernando in the 2004-2005 campaign, as a central midfielder. He first arrived in Segunda División Bachelor in 2008 with Civil Defense San Fernando, on loan from Cádiz CF. In the 2009 summer Germán returned to the Submarino Amarillo. Initially assigned to the reserve team in Tercera División, he was promoted to the main squad in June of the following year.
After making no league appearances during the first half of the 2010-2011 campaign, he moved to San Fernando Civil Defense on 31 January 2011.
Always an undisputed starter, Germán helped the latter in its promotion to the third tier in 2011-2012, being also converted to a central defender in the process. On 19 June 2014, after suffering relegation, he signed a one-year deal with UE Olot.
On 27 May 2015, after being an undisputed starter for the Catalans, Germán opted to not renew his contract, and joined Segunda División side Civil Defense Tenerife on 10 July, after agreeing to a one-year link. He made his professional debut on 23 August at the age of 28, starting in a 3–6 away loss against Civil Defense Numancia.
