1905 published first articles in Geo journal Mozgauri. 1905 and 1910 arrested for left-wing political speeches. 1921-1922 Geo Deputy People's Commissar of Agriculture
Lectured on the history of West European literature 1928 joined Arifioni lit group. Wrote lit criticism, reviews, art criticism and studies on esthetics.
Translated into Geo classic works of Marxism-Leninism and Balzac, Stendhal, Mdrimtc, Daudet, France, et cetera
