Debut at 18 in Royal Theatre. Hanover, and returned after 1 year, continuing there 7 years. Sang in State Opera. Vienna, later at Munich.

Covent Garden (London). Paris Grand Opera. Amsterdam. Royal Opera. Madrid, etc.

With Metropolitan Opera Company, New York, since 1928. With San Francisco Opera. 1933; also appearing in concerts in Chicago.

Cleveland. Minneapolis. Cincinnati. Toronto and other cities. Especially notable in Wagnerlan roles, including Isolde, Sieglinde.

Kundry. Brunhilde. Fricka. Elizabeth and Ortrud. Home: Munich Germany.
