She graduated from the Lahore College for Women University with a Bachelor of Arts degree.

She is the granddaughter of politician of Jhang, Mehr Ghulam Haider Bharwana. She was first elected MNA on the PML-Q ticket in the constituency of NA-87, in the Bhawana area, in 2002. Her second term was in the same constituency.
She was elected for the third time in Pakistani general election, 2013 from NA-88(Jhang-Cum-Chiniot (Old NA-87 Jhang-II)) on PML-North ticket.
She has served in the committee on Culture, Sports, Tourism and Youth Affairs, the committee on Education, and the committee on Petroleum and Natural Resources.
Since the 2002 General Elections, she has thrice been elected as Member of National Assembly of Pakistan.
