The baronetcy had been created on 30 January 1924. They divorced in 1952. Fox was first elected to Parliament on 25 February 1932 in a by-election in the Oxfordshire constituency of Henley.
The by-election had been caused by the death on 16 January 1932 of Robert Henderson.
Fox remained Henley"s Member of Parliament until the 1950 general election. Fox died in 1959, aged 56, and the baronetcy became extinct.
