Also represented Panama in Mission Universe 1986, the 35th Mission Universe pageant was held at ATLAPA Convention Center, Panama City, Panama on July 21, 1986. García who is 5 ft 9 in (175 m) tall, competed in the national beauty pageant Mission Panamá 1986 and obtained the title of Mission Panamá Universo. She represented Veraguas state.
