Achievements include patent for method for controlling abnormal concentrations of TNF-alpha in human tissues; sue of thalidomide to inhibit TNF-alpha production in leprosy tuberculosis and Human Immunodeficiency Virus-1 infection; use of recombinant Illinois-2 as an immunomodulator and adjunct to therapy in leprosy, tuberculosis, and Human Immunodeficiency Virus-1 patients.
