The Roman de Tristan en prose is one of the greatest novels on chivalry of the 13th century. This third volume centers around the theme of Tristan's quest, which ends when he is again found by Lancelot, and the hero Tristan takes his rightful place at Arthur's Round Table. French text. French info text: Un des plus grands romans de chevalerie du XIII e siècle. Dans ce tome III, le thème de la quête du héros est toujours au centre de l'oeuvre. A la fin du volume toutefois, la quête s'arrête. Lancelot retrouve Tristan. Le héros est intronisé à la Table Ronde. Dans les scènes qui se passent au royaume d'Arthur, Tristan se trouve au premier plan. Dans celles qui ont lieu en Cornouailles, on sent, avec la figure du roi Marc, une atmosphère trouble. C'est là un des traits originaux du volume.
