Ginzaburo Totani served as director of Dairen (Talien) Hospital of South Manchuria Railway, professor of Namman Igaku-do (South Manchuria Institute of Medicine), director of the hospital attached to the same institute, director of Nagoya Citizens' Hospital, president of Nagoya Municipal Women's Medical College (from 1943), president of Nagoya Municipal Women's University, president of Nagoya Municipal University (1950) and director of the hospital attached to the same university. Studied in Germany and England (1914-1917).
