Giulio Setti was an Italian choral conductor He served as chorus master of opera houses in Italy, Cairo, Cologne, and Buenos Aires prior to coming to the United States in 1908; there he was engaged as chorus master of the Metropolitan Opera.
Setti, Giulio was born on October 3, 1869 in Treviglio, Lombardia, Italy. Son of Giovanni and Teodora (Degani) Setti.
Educated in Italy.
Conductor and chorus director in theatres, Milan, Rome, Trieste, Madrid, Paris, Buenos Aires, etc. Came to the United States, 1908. Connected with the Metropolitan Opera corporation since 1908.
