Career
He and his father set up a London office in 1960, buying for the father"s antiques business in Milan. In 1993 he opened an art gallery in London. In 2007 he sold a rare Cézanne watercolor of a melon he had collected personally for United States$25.5 million.
He belongs to a Sephardic Jewish family which moved from Istanbul to Milan.
When he was 13 years old, his father Isaac sent him to England to be educated. He speaks six different languages.
