When We Awake explains that the “food” god desires men to eat is Jesus Christ Himself, unleavened bread, free of the idols of our hearts. When We Awake reveals many truths hidden in Paul’s doctrine of “food sacrificed to idols.” The Apostle discusses this doctrine at length in chapters 8 through 11 of his first book to the Corinthians, but the spiritual teaching contained there has been ignored or hidden until today. We find these truths especially relevant now in light of “the rapture” and “the second coming of Christ,” events which we believe to be imminent.
