Also represented Panama in Mission Universe 1980, the 29th Mission Universe pageant was held at Sejong Cultural Center, Seoul, South of Korea on July 8, 1980. She placed among the 12 semifinalists. Karamañites who is 5 ft 11 in (180 m) tall, competed in the national beauty pageant Mission Panamá 1980 and obtained the title of Mission Panamá Universo.
She represented Panama Centro state.
