Allen, Glover Morrill was born on February 8, 1879 in Walpole, New Hampshire, United States. Son of Review Nathaniel Glover and Harriet Ann (Schouler) Allen.

Education

Bachelor of Arts, Harvard, 1901, Master of Arts, 1903, Doctor of Philosophy, 1904, graduate student, 1906-1907.

Career

After graduating, he lectured in zoology at Harvard and held the position of Curator of Mammals in the Museum of Comparative Zoology. He traveled widely, to Central and South America, to West Africa, the Nile, the Belgian Congo, and Australia. His publications include Bats: Biology, Behavior and Folklore.
