Background
Sri Ramulu was born in Achanta Map., a village near Tanuku in the West Godavari district. His father Godavarthi Rama Rao, a famous person in the Achanta area who also served as Chairperson of Libraries of West Godavari Zilla Parishad and served as president of Achanta Panchayat in multiple terms.
Career
He is currently the leader of the Achanta Panchayat in the Andhra Pradesh state, and the Mandal president of Achanta Telugu Desam Party, one of the Modern Language Association constituencies in Andhra Pradesh. He earned a bachelor"s degree in Commerce from the C R Reddy College, Eluru (Andhra University). Inspiration from his father, Self Pride of Telugu People, Anti-Corruption, and pro-policies for common man of NTR made him enter into politics.
In 1997, Sriramulu was elected the President of Achanta Panchayat in the West Godavari district, on an Telugu Desam Party ticket.
Sri Ramulu was very instrumental for gaining victories of TDP Modern Language Association candidates during the election years 1999 & 2004, proving that people are having faith in him as Key Leader, Honest & Hardworking Politician in Achanta Modern Language Association constituency area. Providing good and honest administration, helping poor people were his ideals during his political life.
(Pedda Meda) is the home of Godavarthi Sri Ramulu & famous building of Achanta, known for its Architectural construction and splendid state of art interiors. Built in 1924 by Godavarthi Nageswara Rao (Grand father of Godavarthi Sri Ramulu) who got impressed from various renowned buildings and palaces after traveling around the country.
Lot of visitors around have a glance when they happen to pass by due to its new look.
The temple is flooded with devotees during the Shivaratri festival to pray to the powerful and holy God. During the festival, people around come and spend time in the mela buying fancy things. A committee of village elders monitor the famous free lunch during the festival time with the help of donations received from various donors.
Karthikamasam is the auspicious time and a jyothi is lit throughout till Shivarathri.
