He was appointed the Chief Executive Officer of the airline on 3 September 2010. Prior to his appointment, he worked for the SIA group for more than 20 years for the airlines" operations in China and Scandinavia. Goh Choon Phong joined the company in 1990 and worked as executive vice president for marketing and the regions and also served as president of Cargo from 2006 to 2010.
He has held numerous senior positions during his career at the airline.
On 3 September 2010, he was announced as the new Chief Executive Officer of the airline.
