Until 1917 was educated in Lama monastery. 1927 graduated school of music. 1934 graduated Producers’ Faculty, Lunacharsky Institute of Dramatic Art, Moscow.
1927-1931 toured with concert group. Co-founder, first professional theater in Buryat Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. Deputy, Russian Soviet Federated Socialist Republic Supreme Soviet of 1946, 1950 and 1954 convocation.
Roles: Lenin in Pogodin’s “Kremlevskie kuranty” (Kremlin Chimes). Sharlay in Baldano’s “Erzhen”. Othello in Shakespeare's “Othello”.
Productions: Baldano’s “Dva druga” (Two Friends). Sholokhov’s “Tikhiy Don” (Quiet Flows the Don). Musical drama “Bair”, libretto by himself and Shadaev.
Operas: Tchaikovsky’s “Eugene Onegin” and “Pikovaya dama” (Queen of Spades). Bizet’s “Carmen”; Frolov’s “Enkhe-bu lat batar”. Korchmarev’s “Ditya radost i” (Child of Joy).
