Career
He was succeeded by Govindapala, whose lineage of that name is questionable. During his reign, the encroachment by the Sena dynasty eventually reduced the Pala domains to Bihar. In Harikela, the Varman dynasty were conquered by the Sena dynasty leaving the Palas as the only other significant power in Bengal.
