Career
He is currently an assistant coach for Notre Dame"s men"s ice hockey team, a position he has held since 2014. Burnett attended The College of Saint Scholastica where he played four seasons of National Collegiate Athletic Association Division III ice hockey. The undrafted rookie defenceman made the 2006-2007 Utah Grizzlies team out of training camp.
