Career
He is currently goalkeeping coach at Aberdeen. Marshall began his career as a youth player at Rangers, but failed to make any first team appearances for the club He went on to play for East Stirlingshire, East Fife and before joining for £270,000 in.
After over 7 years at Park, having made exactly 100 league appearances, he departed for in 1998.
Whist at Marshall spent time out on loan at Street Mirren and English club Stoke City with whom he made 13 appearances with in 1993-1994. After 5 years at Rugby Park, he moved to in 2003, helping the Steelmen reach the League Cup Final.
Marshall joined the coaching staff at the club before retiring as a player in. Marshall joined the Hibernian coaching staff in November and left his position in July 2009.
Marshall then worked for Alloa Athletic and Street Johnstone as a goalkeeping coach.
He returned to in August 2011 as a goalkeeping coach, replacing Stewart Kerr. Marshall moved to a similar position with Aberdeen in June 2015. Marshall was capped once by Scotland, against the United States in May 1992.
His father, also a goalkeeper named Gordon, was capped at under-23 level by England.
