He graduated from Waseda University in 1923. During university days he was active as a southpaw (pitcher).
Career
Goro Taniguchi joined Dairen (Talien) Manchuria Railway Club. He joined Talien Commercial Baseball Team under the name of Iwase in 1924. Also he served as technical coach of the Yomiuri Giants professional baseball team.
