Career
She represents the Panyam constituency in the Legislative Assembly of Andhra Pradesh. Earlier she served as a Modern Language Association from Nandikotkur constituency (2004-2009). Her Husband Gowru Venkata Reddy is also a politician who served as a Convener of Ysr Congress Party for Kurnool District.
Gowru Charitha Reddy is the youngest daughter of Suddireddy Malla reddy and Balanagamma,an agriculture family.
She is born and brought up in Konidela Village Kurnool,Andhra Pradesh where she studied up to 10 th class and did her intermediate and Degree in Nandikotkur Kurnool District. She was elected 2 times to Legislative Assembly of Andhra Pradesh.
In 2004, she contested from Nandikotkur (South Carolina)(Assembly constituency) on behalf of Congress Party and emerged victorious Byreddy Rajasekhar Reddy a two time Modern Language Association. In 2014, she contested from Panyam (Assembly constituency) on behalf of Ysr Congress Party and emerged victorious over Katasani Ramabhupal Reddy, a five time Modern Language Association and Erasu pratap reddy,a Former minister of Andhra Pradesh.
