Career
She is known for creating the Kent-Rosanoff Free Association Test, an influential word association test that is still used. Born in Indiana, United States, Kent grew up in Iowa, the daughter of a clergyman. Her father was quite liberal, and, in fact, was the first white pastor for a black parish.
She studied at the University of Iowa, receiving her bachelor"s degree in 1902.
In 1911, she received a Doctor of Philosophy at the George Washington University.
