Career
Daniels played for Cardiff City F.C. whilst studying for a degree in Philopsophy at Cardiff University. He left Wales and moved to Cambridge United and stayed in his adopted city when he made the move to neighbours Cambridge City F.C. He entered management as player-assistant to Richie Powling at Sudbury Town whillst completing theological training at the University of London, before moving to the number one role at Histon and then Cambridge City.
He resigned from his position as Cambridge City manager on 2nd January 1999 and immediately joined British Broadcasting Corporation Radio Cambridgeshire as a broadcaster.
