Admitted to Georgia bar, 1893. Practiced at Buena Vista. Solicitor general, Stewart County Court, 1895-1899, 1902-1907.

Ordained ministry Baptist Church, 1907. Pastor in Georgia and South Carolina. until 1924. Associate editor Tampa Daily Times, 1924-1933.

Alternate Democratic presidential elector, Georgia, 1904. Served as member Georgia State Democratic Executive Committee and Democratic Congressional Committee, 3d Georgia District.

Membership

Member Mission Board Georgia Baptist Convention 5 terms. Member Executive Committee Valdosta (clerk), Columbus, Western, Reheboth (chairman) and Broad River (chairman) associations Trustee Georgia State Tuberculosis Sanitarium.
