Adams, Granger was born on September 28, 1852 in Williamson, New York, United States. Son of Orlando and Emily (Granger) Adams.

Education

Graduated from the United States Military Academy, 1876, Artillery School, 1882.

Career

Commissioned Second lieutenant 5th Artillery, June 15, 1879. Advanced through grades to brigadier general, July 1, 1916. Retired after 44 years service, September 28, 1916.

Professor military science and tactics, St. John’s College, Fordham, New York, 1893-1895. Senior instructor artillery tactics, United States Military Academy, 1895-1900. Commanding Morro Castle, Santiago, Cuba, 1903-1904.

Appointed president Field Artillery Board, 1910. Home: Front Royal, Va.
