Career
He joined W National Broadcasting Company in 1999 after spending 9 years as a reporter and anchor with News 12 Long Island. Before that, Cergol worked at WGSM/WCTO Radio in Melville from 1983–1990, where he held a number of positions including news director, anchor and reporter. During that time, he also worked in radio, serving as a news editor for National Broadcasting Company Radio Network News ("88-"89) and posts as a reporter/anchor for WOW Radio in Omaha, Nebraska and WBCS Radio in Milwaukee.
He is also the recipient of two Cable Ace Awards as well as five New York Emmy Awards.
A graduate of Marquette University in Milwaukee, Cergol received a Bachelor degree in Broadcast Communications.
