Education
Clausen attended Augsburg College, graduating in 1969 with a Bachelor of Arts in social sciences. He later attended the University of Saint Thomas, graduating in 1973 with a Master of Arts in education curriculum and instruction and again in 1983, graduating with a Editor.S. in educational administration.
