Career
He is the author of Fatal Traps for Helicopter Pilots and So, You Want To Be A Helicopter Pilot. He gained commercial aeroplane and helicopter pilot licenses in the 1980s, and logged over 1000 hours of flight. The loss of a number of friends to helicopter accidents inspired him to write.
In August 2003 Fatal Traps for Helicopter Pilots was published by Reed Publishing New Zealand.
