He was ordained in 1977 His first post was as a Non-Stipendiary Minister at Pittenweem after which he was Rector of Glenrothes. He was Provost at Cathedral of The Isles and then Mission Priest at Street Luke, Wester Hailes until his elevation to the Episcopate.
