From 1898 in Social-Democratic movement. Began Party work for Siberian Russian Social-Democratic Workers’ Party Union. Worked in Omsk, Tomsk, Samara, Moscow, Saint St. Petersburg, Kazan’, et cetera
After 2nd Russian Social-Democratic Workers’ Party Congress sided with Bolsheviks. Frequently arrested by Soviet authorities. Dcleg, 3rd and 5th Russian Social-Democratic Workers’ Party Congresses.
1907-1909 sided with Mensheviks. 1909 abandoned Party work. 1919 joined Russian Communist Party (Bolsheviks) and engaged in research and teaching work at Moscow higher educational establishments.
Instructor, Institute of Red Professor. From 1924 at Institute of Marx and Engels (then Institute of Marx-Engels-Lenin). From 1943 pensioner.
