Grigory Konstantinovich Sanakoev is a Russian International Correspondence Chess Grandmaster, most famous for being the twelfth ICCF World Champion, 1984-1991.He reached the third place at the "Hans-Werner von Massow Memorial" tournament (1996-2002). He is the author of a book on correspondence chess World Champion at the Third Attempt.
Education
Grigory Konstantinovich graduated from the Department of Chemistry of Voronezh State University (1957).
Career
Grigory Konstantinovich Sanakoev was an engineer of the ENIKMASH (Voronezh, 1961-1995). He was a member of the USSR national team in correspondence chess (1978-1998). Grigory Konstantinovich was a director of the Voronezh Regional Chess Club (1991-2006). Since 2006, a professional chess player, chess columnist, published in Russia, Germany, Canada and other countries. Author of many articles in chess encyclopedias (Moscow, 1990, 1996), articles "Chess on the threshold of the 21st century" ("Rise". 1998. No. 10) and the book "The Third Attempt" (Vladikavkaz, 1996; Voronezh, 2001; reprinted in Germany, 1997 and England, 1998).
