Grigory Mikhaylovich graduated from machinist courses at the Voronezh Technical School (1936).
Since 1928, Grigory Mikhaylovich worked in the Liskinsky Locomotive Depot as a mechanic, fireman, assistant engineer, was the driver of the Liski Depot (1937-1941). In 1941, he worked as an engineer in Estonia. In 1942-1944 Grigory Mikhaylovich again worked in Liski. In 1944-1950, he worked in Estonia, as an engineer-trainer, head of the engine depot Haapsula, Deputy Head of the Tallinn narrow-gauge railway section.
In 1950, Grigory Mikhaylovich was sent to the People's Republic of China to assist in the restoration of the Changchun Railway. He was an instructor in the Mudanjiang depot. He participated in the All-China Congress of Railway Workers (1951). Since 1953 he worked in Mongolia.
In 1957 Grigory Mikhaylovich returned to Liski, until 1965 he worked as an acceptor of steam locomotives, as a train engine driver.
