Career
He was sworn as minister of Telangana state on 2 June 2014. He is the first Education minister of Telangana. He is the first to become a minister from Suryapet constituency.
He was born to Ramachandra Reddy and Savithri Devi in Nagaram Village, Arvapally Mandal, Nalgonda district, Telangana State, India.
He did his Bachelor of Arts from Sri Venkateshwar Degree College, Surypet Osmania University and passed out in 1985. He did his Bachelor of Law from Siddarthu Law College, Vijayawada, Nagarjuna University.
He was a practicing lawyer in Nalgonda district court.
