1921 graduated Moscow Higher Technology School.
Helped Professor N. Ye. Zhukovsky to establish first Soviet aviation research and training establishments. 1919, while still a student, was appointed Deputy Chief., Experimental Aerodynamics Department, Moscow Central Aerohydrodynamics Institute.
Since then has specialized in designing and constructing control and measuring equipment for Soviet aerodynamic laboratories and institutes. In 1930's visited Germany, France and United States of America. After return to USSR developed plans and designed complex automatic aerodynamic scales and other automatic equipment for the huge T-101 tunnel at the New Central Aerohydrodynamics Institute for testing aircraft with running engines.
