Career
He was the son of Sir Edward Ridley, and educated at Harrow and New College, Oxford. He was on the fringes of the Bloomsbury Group and participated in the Dreadnought hoax. He was made Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 1918.
He was private secretary to Sir Edward Ward, 1st Baronet, of Wilbraham Place.
